About BetSites
Disclaimer
BetSites.ng is a betting guide written for readers in Nigeria. This page sets out what the guide can and cannot do for you, and where its responsibility ends. The site is published by Heatherquay Media Limited, Europort, Europort Road, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. By reading or using any page on betsites.ng you accept this disclaimer together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site.
1. A guide, not a bookmaker
BetSites.ng compares bookmakers, explains bonuses and free bets, and describes how deposits and withdrawals work through Nigerian banks and wallets. It does not take bets, accept stakes, open betting accounts, hold your naira or pay out winnings. Heatherquay Media Limited is a publisher and holds no betting, lottery or gaming licence in Nigeria or anywhere else, because publishing guides does not require one. When a page says that a bookmaker is licensed, the licence belongs to that bookmaker and was checked against the regulator's own register at the time of writing; it says nothing about this site.
2. Information, not a tip or a promise
Our reviews, previews, terminology pages and how-to guides explain how betting works. They are general information for adult readers, not personal financial, legal or tax advice, and not a promise that any selection, accumulator or strategy will win. Where a page discusses form, prices or a match, the outcome is still uncertain and the bookmaker's margin is still built into every price. Treat anything you read here as one input into your own decision, and stake only money you can afford to lose.
3. Odds, bonuses and limits move
Welcome offers, free bet amounts, rollover rules, minimum odds, accumulator boosts, cash-out conditions and deposit or withdrawal limits are set by each bookmaker and can change overnight. We take each figure from the operator's own promotion page or terms and give the date a page was last checked, but there will always be a gap between a change at the operator and our update. Odds quoted in an article are a snapshot from the moment it was written. Where our figure and the operator's terms disagree, the operator's terms apply. Read them in full before you deposit, opt in or claim a bonus.
4. Banks, wallets and payment methods
Pages about OPay, Moniepoint, PalmPay, Instant NIP transfer, bank cards and USSD describe what bookmakers and payment providers publish and what our own test deposits showed when we made them. Fees, processing times, daily limits and the list of banks a bookmaker accepts are decided by the operator and the payment provider, not by us, and they differ between accounts. A failed or delayed transfer is a matter between you, your bank or wallet and the bookmaker. We cannot trace, reverse or refund a payment.
5. Gambling law in Nigeria
Since the Supreme Court judgment of 22 November 2024, the regulation of betting and lotteries is a matter for each state. The National Lottery Regulatory Commission still licenses operators for the Federal Capital Territory, the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority licenses operators in Lagos, and other states have their own authorities or rules. A bookmaker being listed on BetSites.ng does not mean that it is licensed in the state where you live, or that betting with it is lawful for you. Checking that is your responsibility before you open an account.
6. Adults only
Betting is for people aged 18 and over. BetSites.ng is written for adults, and if you are under 18 you should leave the site now. Bookmakers check age and identity when you register or withdraw, and they can close an account and keep winnings if those checks fail.
7. Commercial links
Some links on this site, including the buttons that pass through a /go/ address, are affiliate links. If you open an account through one of them, the bookmaker may pay Heatherquay Media Limited a commission. You pay nothing extra and the offer you receive is the same. The arrangement, and how we keep it apart from our assessments, is explained on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
8. Bookmakers and other websites
When you leave BetSites.ng for a bookmaker, a payment provider, a regulator or any other site, you are subject to that site's own terms and privacy notice. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, decisions or conduct. Your account, your balance and any dispute about a settled bet, a voided bonus or a withheld withdrawal are between you and the bookmaker. Use the operator's own complaints procedure first and, if that does not resolve it, the authority that issued the operator's licence. Our Contact Us page explains where such complaints go.
9. Figures from other sources
Fixture lists, results, statistics, game rules and return-to-player figures shown on the site come from competition organisers, data providers, game studios and operators. We reproduce them in good faith but cannot guarantee that a source was complete or correct, and a result or a statistic may be corrected after we publish it. Confirm anything that affects a bet at the source.
10. Keeping betting under control
Set a budget before you play, decide in advance how long you will spend, and use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools that licensed bookmakers offer. Do not borrow to bet and do not chase losses. If betting is affecting your money, your work or your family, help is available: Gamble Alert, the Nigerian non-profit for safer gambling, answers on +234 916 295 7989 around the clock and on the toll-free line +234 705 889 0073; the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI) takes calls on 0809 111 6264. More guidance is on our Responsible Gambling page.
11. Our content and other people's trademarks
The text, tables, comparison layouts, illustrations and design of BetSites.ng belong to Heatherquay Media Limited or are used under licence. You may share a link to any page or quote a short passage with credit, but you may not copy pages or tables in bulk. Bookmaker names, logos and app icons are the trademarks of their owners and appear only so that you can identify the product being discussed; showing them does not mean the owner endorses this site.
12. Errors and availability
We check pages before publishing and correct them when a reader or an operator points out a mistake, but we cannot promise that every page is complete, current and free of error at every moment, or that the site will always be available. Pages can be updated, merged or removed without notice.
13. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Heatherquay Media Limited accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of BetSites.ng or from reliance on its content, including stakes lost, bonuses refused or forfeited, accounts closed by an operator, delayed payments, or the unavailability of a linked site. Nothing in this disclaimer limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or any right you have as a consumer under Nigerian law.
14. Governing law
This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Use and is read under the same law.
15. Changes to this disclaimer
We revise this page when the site, the law or the way we work changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a revision, the revised version applies.
16. Contact
